Bike to School Week
Bike, roll, or walk to school from June 1 to 5, 2026!
École Lord Tennyson is celebrating Bike to School Week and encouraging students and families to use active transportation for their trips to school all week! Walking, biking, scootering, skateboarding, and using mobility aids all help reduce emissions and help students arrive at school energized and ready to learn.
There will be daily prizes and a final draw on Friday. Also, the class with the most participation will get a freezie party! If your child is coming by bike or scooter, please bring a lock. The bike racks fill up quickly so you can lock your bike to the fences around the school.
Tables will be in the courtyard from 8:40 to 9:00 a.m. every day with snacks, sign-in, and prize draw tickets.
We will need volunteers each day to help prepare the snacks, set up, and help with sign-in. The total time required is 8:30 to 9:15 - you can sign up for all the slots if you can stay the whole time or just get involved for the time you can help. To help out, please contact [email protected].
