Missing School/Going to be Late

Please follow the safe arrivals protocol:
  • Call (604) 713-5426, and press 1 to report a student absence or late. Leave a message with your child's name, division number, and teacher.
  • If your child is late, sign them in at the office AND tell Veronica  they're late or fill out a late slip (they're on the counter in the office).

General Health

Covid-19
The Vancouver School District continues to take the lead of the public health authority, Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH). Please visit its website for information and updates, including an FAQ.

The best protection for yourself and others is to follow proper hygiene etiquette as you would during the cold and flu season. This includes:
  • proper hand washing with soap and water
  • covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
  • not sharing food to reduce virus transmission
  • staying home when you are sick.

Reliable sources of information regarding COVID19:
  • VSB Continuity of Learning HUB
  • BC CDC has  up-to-date information about COVID-19
  • Community, Connection & Support for Students and Families from the VSB
Head Lice

Regular head lice checks is a great way to  catch them early if you got them and to prevent passing them on to others.  There is lots of information on our   Head Lice page  about what to look for and how to treat them.

Nut Free Zone

Lord Tennyson is a nut free zone. There are a number of students at Lord Tennyson with severe  peanut and nut allergies. The school asks everyone to bring peanut-free and nut-free   snacks and lunches to school.

Vancouver Coastal Health Programs

The Vancouver Coastal Health  School Health program provides immunizations as well as health information and referral to school-aged children, staff and parents. Nurses also provide referrals for a variety of assessments such as dental, auditory, speech, nutrition and mental health.

Here is a  letter outlining the services that our school nurse, Rachel Diersch, provides.

Administration of Medication Permission Form

If your child takes medication on a regular basis, please submit this form to the office, as staff cannot  administer medication without a signed consent form.
