Staying Safe at School
The Vancouver School District continues to take the lead of the public health authority, Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH). Please visit its website for information and updates, including an FAQ.
The best protection for yourself and others is to follow proper hygiene etiquette as you would during the cold and flu season. This includes:

- proper hand washing with soap and water
- covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
- not sharing food to reduce virus transmission
- staying home when you are sick.

There is an updated COVID protocol including the kinds of symptoms we have all been aware of on the daily health check. (See flowchart above.)
Please reach out to your family doctor or 811 if you have any doubts about a return to school/work, and once again, thank you for erring on the side of caution to help keep our community safe!
Although there have been reports of rapid tests arriving for students, the province has now advised there are not enough available at this point. Stay tuned for more news about their arrival.
Please remember to follow the BCCCD guidelines for return to school in the unfortunate event Covid does visit.
