Each Friday at the cafeteria (downstairs at Tennyson) from 9:00am to 10:00am Contact: [email protected] Hope to see you there! Please see the following message from Tennyson parents who are looking to share some driving:
Our family will be moving from Fairview Slopes to Victoria Drive & East 8th at the end of this month. I am going to be travelling overseas for work quite often over the next 6 months. Consequently, my husband and I are looking for another family who would be willing to split some of the driving to and from Tennyson on one or two days a week. Our two children, Euan and Hannah, are in Kindergarten and Gr. 2, respectively. Both are currently enrolled in before and after school care at TOSS, so times are flexible. We have an 8-seater vehicle and extra car seats, so we could take several kids on the days that we drive. If you live in the Commercial Drive/Grandview-Woodland area and are interested, please give Julie (778-891-4030) or Martin (778-320-4030) a call or email us at [email protected]. Tennyson parents - check out the following if you are in need of a nanny for after school pick-up:
We are looking for another family to share our nanny who picks up our son after school from Tennyson and provides care until 6pm. Our son is in Div 18 (Kindergarten) and we live a few blocks from the school. Contact Peter and Claudia if you're interested or have any questions. 604 730 1798 or [email protected] Vital Health Kitsilano (at 1855 west 4th) is offering 8 week kid's yoga classes this winter. The classes run on Sundays.
Check out the details here. We said a great big Tennyson good-bye to our principal (of 8 years!), Jacquie Lavoie, on the last day of school for 2015. She was brought to tears and was overwhelmed by the generous gift that the parents and students presented to her. We wish her the very best as she embarks on her next adventure at Trafalgar Elementary. January Electronics Round-up
