For those who don’t know me, I am Mme Simone a grade 2 teacher at Tennyson. Do you have any old tee-shirt you are ready to recycle? If so, please bring them to room 216 (East corner/ top floor). Kitsilano Gymnastics Club will be offering Summer Camp programs at Lord Tennyson Elementary. Apart from fantastic gymnastics training with Coach Serghei, our program includes team sports, movie afternoon, social games and some arts & crafts and field trip to the Vancouver Aquarium. Monday – Gymnastics & Movie Tuesday - Gymnastics & Kitsilano Swimming Pool Wednesday - Field trip to Vancouver Aquarium Thursday - Gymnastics & Outdoor team games and water park Friday - Gymnastics & Group games and sports at Locarno beach Cost is $210 + GST for the full day 9-2:30 (plus $10 Gymnastics BC insurance), Half-Day $195; + GST (plus $10 Gymnastics BC insurance); Ages 5-12. Drop-ins welcome at $45 per day. In an engaging workshop, students at Digital Startup Camp will learn the fundamentals of building a startup, be introduced to coding, design products and develop an online store. In the process, students will experience first hand what it's like being an Entrepreneur. Students are challenged to be forward thinkers, work together as a team, use their creativity to solve complex problems, and have hands on experience of building a startup from scratch. The City of Vancouver is hosting a Family Fun Fair on Saturday, May 11, 2019, 10am – 3pm Come to Manitoba Works Yard on May 11: families can enjoy free entertainment including games, pony rides, a hay ride, and face painting, plus a performance from popular children’s musicians Bobs & LoLo at 12pm. We will also highlight our work through booths, equipment shows, and displays from many city departments, including Engineering Services, the Vancouver Police Department, Vancouver Fire and Rescue and Vancouver Public Library. This event will occur rain or shine! Our family is looking for help to pick up our 7 year old daughter from Lord Tennyson School and drop her off at gymnastics practice at Phoenix's Millennium Gymnasium near Hillcrest, from one to four days a week.
