Dear Tennyson Families,
Registration for Community Program (English) Kindergarten for 2019-2020 is now open. We wanted to remind all families that you MUST register any students entering Kindergarten for 2019-2020 at your English Catchment School. It is now an online process. Attached is a link to a flyer on our website outlining this procedure. If you have a child currently enrolled at Tennyson and you are applying for your next year’s kindergarten child to attend Tennyson as a concurrent sibling, you must FIRST register the child at the English Catchment School. Then you MUST apply online during the Choice program application period noted on the VSB website, second link. So, you will complete two applications as part of the process. Sibling priority for Kindergarten choice programs ONLY applies for students who will be concurrently registered with the sibling, and where you have applied online through the choice process. Your Kindergarten child’s PEN (Personal Education Number) will be given to you through the English catchment school application process. Please send a message to our Office Admin Assistant Veronica if you are intending to place an application child for 2019-2020 Kindergarten at Tennyson who also has a sibling at Tennyson. You can email her with the child’s name at vdangelo@vsb.bc.ca to let us know. This is NOT an application – it just for our information purposes. You will still need to do the English program and then the Choice application. Here is the link to the K application information, and a link to Choice Application information: http://go.vsb.bc.ca/schools/tennyson/Publications/K%20Registration%202018-19.pdf https://www.vsb.bc.ca/School/School-Registration/Kindergarten_Registration/Pages/Kindergarten-Choice-Programs.aspx Thank you, Tennyson Admin Team Would you like to save yourself a trip into Purdy’s, begin your holiday shopping and help support our Quebec 2020 students all in one go?
