The Vancouver Extracurricular Music Society (VEMS) is offering its Winter 2026 Choral Program at Lord Tennyson Elementary. Students will learn healthy vocal production and musicianship while exploring a diverse repertoire. Each rehearsal includes a professional pianist to support live music-making. Regular attendance is important, as new songs are introduced often.

Come explore the power of strategic thinking through fun, engaging, hands-on and strategy-based board-games such as Chess, Mastermind, Blokus, Chinese Checkers, Match Madness, Codenames and many more. In this adventure, students will learn the importance of planning, making thoughtful choices and understanding the reasons behind their decisions while playing games and having fun. Join us for a journey of architectural discovery with our engaging and creative hands-on STEAM classes designed for kids aged 7 to 12! Every week, young architects will explore the incredible worlds of famous architects and design concepts, growing their creativity through the creation of 2D drawings and 3D models. We transform learning into an exciting adventure, encouraging children to observe and appreciate their built and natural surroundings. 

All supplies will be provided and students will be able to take their models home.

The program is improving its coach-to-player ratio from 1:10 to 1:5–7 this season, providing more individualized attention and skill development. Each practice is capped at 20 players to ensure a quality experience for all participants.
