This spring, young innovators at Lord Tennyson Elementary have an exciting opportunity to dive into the world of STEM with the Engineering & Robotics - LEGO Spike Prime program! Designed for students in Grades 1-4, this hands-on course transforms learning into an adventure, blending creativity, coding, and engineering through interactive LEGO projects. Whether your child is a budding engineer or simply curious about robotics, this program offers a fun and engaging way to develop problem-solving skills, teamwork, and a love for technology.
Running from May 5 to June 23, offered by WIZE, this seven-session program provides a structured yet playful environment where kids can explore robotics and programming fundamentals. With expert guidance and the power of LEGO® Spike sets, young learners will gain confidence while building, coding, and bringing their creations to life! REGISTER HERE. The Dancers of Damelahamid, in partnership with MOA and the Anvil Centre, present the 18th annual Coastal Dance Festival, a celebration of the stories, songs and dances of the Indigenous peoples of the Northwest Coast with national and international guest artists. There will be performances and activities throughout the week!
The Festival's Signature Performances will take place on March 4 and 5, against the powerful backdrop of MOA's Great Hall. On both evenings, the Dancers of Damelahamid will perform a site-specific excerpt of Raven Mother that features Raven sculptures, masks, regalia and dance. National and international guest artists round out the program each night with exquisite performances. This highly interactive show includes storytelling, a sing-along, and an opportunity for workshop participants to join the artists on stage, as well as an opportunity for all attendees to learn a few jigging moves from their seats, with vibrant visuals on the screen to enhance the experience.
