Teens & Parents: Share Your Views for a Global Report on Social Media & Mental Health

2/10/2025

(An Initiative by The Archewell Foundation)

Vancouver DPAC is excited to announce a unique opportunity for teens and parents/caregivers to contribute to an international report on the impact of social media on youth well-being. The Archewell Foundation (the nonprofit organization founded by Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex) is leading this initiative, and Vancouver DPAC is assisting by inviting participation from teens and parents/caregivers in our community.

Representatives from The Archewell Foundation will be in Vancouver from February 12-16, 2025, hosting in-person insight sessions at a centrally located, transit-accessible venue.

Why Your Voice Matters
These small-group discussions will allow youth to share their experiences with the digital world—how it influences their lives, their mental health, and what changes they wish to see. Separate sessions will also be available for parents to voice their perspectives. The Archewell Foundation is seeking participants who represent a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.

Key Details:
  • Sessions are about 2 hours long.
  • Food and snacks will be provided.
  • Teen sessions will be grouped by age (Parental consent is required for youth under 18).
  • Participants’ contributions are kept anonymous, and all information is held with strict data privacy standards.
The insights gathered will contribute to a global report on youth well-being in the digital age, making this an incredible opportunity to help shape the conversation on digital safety and mental health.

How to Participate
If you and/or your teen want to find out more or to take part, complete the brief form below to list your availability. (No obligation: This won’t commit you to participating.)

Click here to complete the form.

Not available in person? No problem! On the form, you can also express your interest in a future online session to share your views.

Get Involved & Make a Difference
This is your chance to influence a global conversation on the well-being of our youth in a world dominated by digital technology. Sharing your views can help make the digital space safer and healthier for the next generation.
