Co-Vice Chairs
GROUP A (Ashley and Orla sharing the role)
Ashley Vaughan: I have 3 children in Tennyson grades 4,2,&K. My third is finally in school, yay!!! I am a huge champion for accessibility and inclusion in our schools and parks, I am thankful for open dialogue with VSB & the Vancouver parks board in strategizing on these issues throughout the city.
Orla Sturgess: My kids are in Grade 6 and Grade 2 and I have an older daughter who graduated from Tennyson in June. I was a member at large of the Tennyson PAC Executive for 5 years, managing the website, assisting with communication, and leading fundraising campaigns including the Kickstarter, Math-a-thon and Spell-a-thon. I took a break for two years to go back to college, and now that I've graduated, I'm excited to be able to volunteer at Tennyson again.
GROUP B (Lisa and Michelle sharing the role)
Lisa Yeates: Hi, I have 2 children at the school : Julian who is in grade 7 and Noah who is in grade 5. I have enjoyed the last 8 years with the Tennyson Community helping out with field trips, being a class parent, supporting safe arrival with Mme Veronica, Halloween Howl's and more recently with fundraising for the Quebec 2023 trip. I am interested in giving back and serving on the PAC to strengthen our school community
Michelle Plotkin: My daughter Jillian is in 7th grade and over the years I've enjoyed the opportunity to volunteer on field trips, with the hot lunch program, at the Halloween Howls and on the Quebec 2023 committee. I'd like to serve on the PAC this year to bring back traditions from Tennyson's past as well as start new ones based on the interests of our current school community.
