Quebec Futures Fund and Quebec Trip Document

 Tennyson Quebec Exchange Trip Manual

Tennyson Quebec Futures Mission Statement and Structure

One of Lord Tennyson's favourite traditions is the Grade 7 Quebec trip - an optional 7 day adventure  that builds on the french immersion experience.  The trip typically involves sightseeing in Quebec City or Montreal while billeting with local families. The idea behind this special initiative is to bring alive French-Canadian language and culture to our students. Students are joined by several teacher chaperones.

This annual trip to Quebec requires  major  planning and fundraising by parents to subsidize costs. Parents and students fundraise in Grade 6 in preparation for their trip in Grade 7. So Grade 6 is a busy year! Traditional Grade 6 fundraising activities include:
  • Welcome Back BBQ
  • Hot lunches
  • Food at the  Halloween Howl
  • Winterfest
  • Sports Day  lunch
... and anything else the Grade 6 parents and students dream up. These Tennyson traditions are substantial fundraising projects to reduce the cost of the trip, and are held at the fundraising committee's discretion. Please support the Grade 6 group as much as you can to make their trip successful. Here is the  Tennyson Quebec Exchange Manual.

The Quebec Futures Committee is a sub-committee of the PAC whose purpose is to provide a resource to parents planning for their child’s Quebec Exchange. The committee facilitates the transfer of useful information on fundraising, budgeting, parent agreements, and grant applications. It also provides financial resources to help fund the exchange should bursaries be needed or in the event that a given year has not been successful in obtaining a grant.  Tennyson Quebec Futures Mission Statement and  Structure
