How it works
Registering and orders are managed online using the Munchalunch platform.
All parents will be asked to update their children’s division when they first log in. This is very important - if the division is not correct, we can’t get the lunch to them!
Order Cut-Off
Orders for the following week are always due by the Thursday night prior. Families are welcome to order on a weekly basis, or place your order for the whole term and tweak it along the way, with these deadlines in mind.

Participant essentials
To minimize the burden on staff and parent volunteers for clean-up on hot lunch days, please send the following items with your children on hot lunch days:
- reusable cutlery, and
- a large Ziploc bag.
Lunch providers
MONDAYS: PUERTO MEXICO
Menu includes tacos, burritos, and pasta.
TUESDAYS: KAMEI SUSHI ON BROADWAY
Kamei Sushi offers a variety of options: teriyaki bowls, gyoza, edamame, a wide variety of rolls, and a bento box lunch option.
WEDNESDAYS: MORE PLEASE
Run by a Tennyson parent Chef, More Please Kids Meals offers healthy and homemade menu including meatballs with potatoes, pasta, mac & cheese, burritos, tofu & rice.
THURSDAYS: UNCLE FATIH’S PIZZA ON BROADWAY
Uncle Fatih’s is our pizza provider, offering cheese, pepperoni, Hawaiian or mixed veggie. They also offer dairy-free and gluten-free options.
Allergy alert: Usually, Uncle Fatih’s pizza crust contains sesame seeds. Although our pizzas will not have sesame seeds, we can not guarantee no cross-contamination.
FRIDAYS: WHITE SPOT ON BROADWAY
White Spot offers beef and veggie burgers, chicken strips, grilled cheese, or mac and cheese. Gluten-free buns are available for burgers.
Last year, every meal included veggies as a side. This year, the side is optional. There are 2 options for sides: veggies and apple slices. They can be added on to your main for an additional cost.

Ordering deadlines and changes
You can add an order anytime, but it needs to be done (at least) the Thursday before the week you are ordering for. Cancellations/changes can also be made to orders, but it has to be the Thursday before the week you are changing or cancelling. Changes/refunds are not possible after such dates, as MunchaLunch disables order changes after Thursday at 11:59 am and your orders have already been submitted to our vendors.
Only pre-ordered lunches will be provided - there will be no “day of” sales.

Subsidies are available!
Financial challenges should never be a barrier to accessing hot lunches. The Tennyson Hot Lunch Program (via PAC) is happy to provide support to those who need it. Bursaries up to $500 per child (per school year) are available. Please contact Principal Sonja Rondestvedt to request a bursary: [email protected]
Fine print:
There are currently 4 bursaries available per year. Once you contact the school admin, they will contact the hot lunch coordinator who will add a credit to your Munchalunch account to be used to order lunches. Any credit remaining at the end of the year will be returned to the school's hot lunch program.

Volunteers needed
To operate, the program needs at least one volunteer daily for about an hour. It's always lovely to have two parents on site during the lunch window to ensure it's a smooth success.
