Grade 7s leave for Québec!

32 very excited grade 7 students and 3 (likely slightly apprehensive) teacher chaperones left early this morning for a week in Québec. The Gr 7 Québec trip is an annual Tennyson tradition ... a cultural exchange to top-off their 8 years of learning French.
This year the students will billet with a Québec family who has a child attending Collège Français (a private elementary school just outside of Montreal). They spend the entire week fully immersed in French culture and speaking only French. Besides experiencing Montreal, our lucky students will also take a day trip to Carnival in Québec City. Wow - what an amazing experience for them!
In return, we look forward to hosting the Québec students at Tennyson in May.

The Quebec 2014 parents would like to thank all Tennyson parents for their support last year when we were fundraising. As well, a huge thanks to SEVEC for the grant to cover the flights.
