BC Fruit and Vegetable Nutritional Prgram

The BC School Fruit and Vegetable Nutritional Program  provides fresh fruit and vegetable snacks to public, Francophone, Independent, and First Nations schools throughout BC. This program is free of charge to Tennyson and is designed to encourage students to try new fruits and vegetables. Please advise the  classroom teacher of any fruit or vegetable allergies that your child may have (nuts and dairy will not be served). The 2019/20 delivery schedule is: 

  • Sept. 17th - strawberries
  • Oct. 1st - pears (organic)
  • Oct. 22nd - baby carrots
  • Nov. 5th - mini peppers
  • Nov. 26th - Fuji apples
  • Dec. 10th - mandarins
  • Jan. 28th - kiwis
  • Feb. 11th - Ambrosia apples
  • Mar. 3rd - Royal Gala apples
  • Apr. 28th - grape tomatoes
  • May 12th - mini cucumbers
  • June 2 - mini peppers
