Tennyson 2020

Picture
DGS Construction is hard at work building our new school that was designed by architects Acton Ostry and the Tennyson 2020 committee is hard at work deciding what outdoor landscaping (including the playground equipment), furnishings and new technology we will need and how to pay for these items not covered by the Seismic Upgrade budget.

Please check out the Tennyson 2020 section of our school website for photos and plans. The page will be updated regularly.

What can you do?
Managing the new build business is a big job so please help if you can.
  • Join the Tennyson 2020 Committee. The Tennyson 2020 Committee will work with our school's administration team to find solutions to issues as they arise. They will take the lead on managing issues that need more than just a discussion and work with parents to resolve their concerns. Email the PAC to sign up at tennyson2020@lordtennyson.ca
  • Add your name to a list of interested parents who can help out occasionally so the Tennyson 2020 Committee can reach out to you if they need you. Get in touch at tennyson2020@lordtennyson.ca and let the PAC team know what you can do.
  • Don't stew on issues; share your concerns with the Build Committee at tennyson2020@lordtennyson.ca

What issues can you help with?
The Tennyson 2020 Committee are always happy to have more parents and help  plan:
  • The new playgrounds
  • What technology  we need in the new school
  • What furniture  we need in the new school
What's been done to date
  • Construction is underway!
  • Sandboxes have been created and are well stocked with toys to fire imaginations
  • A schedule for students to play in the gym and a quite space in the basement has been established
  • Four-squares is now the most popular game in the school
Do you have any answers? Can you  help? Share them at tennyson2020@lordtennyson.ca    so we can come up with some really creative solutions to the issues.
