Running from March 3-8, Workout for Women’s Day is a coming together of local movement studios and instructors around International Women's Day to offer classes for charities that support girls, women, and other people who experience gender discrimination. The campaign, which is co-founded by a Tennyson parent, has raised more than $100,000 for women-supporting charities over the past 4 years.
There are more than 40 online and in person by-donation classes offered this year with all money raised going to: 1. Avalon Recovery Society 2. Everywoman’s Health Centre 3. Pacific Immigrant Resources Society 4. Women’s Shelters Canada Many classes are very close to Tennyson; the Pilates & Sound Bath class on March 8th and the Kids' Krava Maga, Adult Kickboxing, and Sunday Unwind sessions are all within 2 blocks of the school!
