Be sure to check out Coach Chris's words of wisdom in the video at the bottom.
Bonjour les Parents de Tennyson!
Do you speak French? (Un peu? Maybe not for a few years?) Are you interested in practicing your French in a relaxed, non-judgmental atmosphere with other Tennyson parents?
Last year I started a French Conversation Group for Tennyson parents. We were a small but friendly group who met to chat in French over coffee once a week (or so) on Friday afternoons. I’d love to continue to run this group this year but we need new people! Don’t be shy!! ;)
If you are interested, please contact me by e-mail. I’m looking forward to meeting you soon!
Donalyn Simpson (mom to Charlotte, gr.5)
It seems as though a French family found our lovely Tennyson website. They asked me to post the following message:
We are a french family with two twin girls of 8 years old. We are living in Annecy - a french nice little town not very far from Geneva.
My two daughters have been both following an english immersion program for 4 years now.
I am currently looking for a Canadian family with children with quite the same age than my daughters (8 years old) and would be interested in making a family exchange for 3-6 months in france.
We could exchange the house between the both family.
My aim is to make a real english immersion for my both girls.
Please fell free to contact me if you are interested in such an experience (firstname.lastname@example.org) or please forward this email to anybody that could be interested.
The echange period could be between April and Septembre 2016.
Many thanks for your help.
My best regards,

The following is from Tennyson mom Pooja Khengar who is starting a meal delivery service (who doesn't need that?!?):

I am starting a vegetarian tiffin delivery service for individuals ($12) and families ($25, serves four). Call me at 778 873 9271 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details. 3pm delivery at Tennyson can be arranged!
Please see the following information from Iris (a Tennyson parent who teaches at UBC):
This is a list of her francophone students who wish to tutor or play in French with students from Lord Tennyson, so the children can improve their cognitive, social and emotional skills in French.
They are all students of Iris's and she recommends them.
3rd year -Language and Business
2nd year -Sauder School of Business
3rd year -Management and Marketing, Saudern School of Business
