I would like to offer my tutoring services throughout the summer break. I am a French Immersion teacher. I am very familiar with the new BC curriculum. I have taught grades 2 to 8. I am looking to tutor children privately for a few hours a week via ZOOM. I am available to teach all subjects from the elementary curriculum, specializing in French lessons for younger students. I have a Masters in Education in Second language learning from SFU and a French Immersion specialization from UBC (BEd in French Immersion). I have graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree at McGill University in Montreal, where I specialized in Linguistics and Education. Furthermore, I have completed my Masters' degree in Education, specializing in Second Language Acquisition at Simon Fraser University. I have a Bachelor of Education from UBC specializing in French Immersion. I have also lived in France for a few months and in Quebec for five years. IMPORTANT DATES Monday, May 23: No school: Vicoria Day Wednesday, May 25: Track & Field Finals – Point Grey Monday, May 30: Parent Speaker – Parenting Through Anxiety Friday, June 3: Staff Appreciation Lunch Monday, June 20: PAC AGM Wednesday, June 29: last day of school   The Diversity and Inclusion Committee hosted a mental health resource table on May 6th. Printed resources were available at the table and visitors were offered coffee and muffins made by a Tennyson parent. The community had the opportunity to share their own ways of taking care of their mental health. Check out the photos of the wonderful ideas, below, as well as links to some helpful online resources. Thank you to everyone who helped out with the table and to all those who took the time to stop by! Canadian Mental Health Association for mental health support and promotion of mental wellness. Family Smart has some great resources for talking to kids about mental health. Ten Percent Happier has podcasts on meditation, parenting and working with emotions.
