Thank you to Tennyson parent Katherine for registering Tennyson in the Whole Foods second quarter bag donations scheme at their Kitsilano store.

At the register at the Whole Foods on 4th, customers who don't use a bag have the option to receive the 10 cent per bag refund as cash back off their receipt or they can choose to donate it to a designated non-profit. From now until the end of June, Tennyson is one of the chosen charities.

You don't need to specify which charity you want to donate to, they will split the proceeds of the collection between the two. So spread the word and don't forget to bring your own bags when you shop at Whole Foods.

Free Tuesday meditation classes for adults

4/6/2019

Every Tuesday at 9am there are free  adult  meditations in the Tennyson   cafeteria.  These are led by a Tennyson parent.
They are open to everyone (no prerequisites) and can be quite transformational in people's lives.

Please come check them out!

Here is more information about the type of meditation being presented:

Meditation on Twin Hearts was created by Choa Kok Sui -a chemical engineer, business man, a philanthropist, and the creator of modern Pranic Healing.

By connecting with the heart and the crown, our system finds the space of inner peace and inner stillness, bringing the heart rate to an average resting point of 72bpm, which allows the body to repair and rejuvenate.

The heart is calm and the brain works better. We can remember things clearer and we gain perspective of situations that once where unclear. We gain purpose and ultimately we become more successful and prosperous in whatever we do.
Why Meditation on Twin Hearts?
Because it's a form of community service in which we have the opportunity to repair and and regain balance as we bless the planet Earth and all it's inhabitants.

It is a fantastic practice to understand each one of us and our community as part of our ecosystem.

Meditation on Twin Hearts embraces all background and doesn't require previous knowledge of any sort of meditation or yoga practice.

All you need to do is try it and experience your self transformation with an open mind.
