Life is flying by and all of our days fill up so quickly and too often, there is no time for laughter, self-care or even for a deep breath!
Come out and play... Rediscover joy through games, activities and mindfulness.

The current lunch ordering session is coming to an end next week.
If you do not log in and order again, your children’s lunches will stop arriving. And tears will flow.
If you would like your child to receive sushi on Mondays, Pizza on Wednesdays, or both, please log in to Munchalunch and order away.
This upcoming lunch session covers Mondays and Wednesdays from February through mid-June (you are on your own for the final two weeks …. sorry).
Please note that there won’t be any Sushi on February 4th! You have to pack a lunch for your kids!
Please note as well Tuesday C’est Mon Cafe ordering is separate (not through Munchalunch).
Order by Friday, Feb 1 if you want the first Pizza Lunch (Feb 6).
I know you want to order lunches immediately (and you should do it very soon) but PLEASE take a moment to chat with your child … I can promise you that the little angels have loads of opinions about what shows up in front of them. SO. MANY. OPINIONS.
Really. Please ask them if they are happy with their previous order before ordering again.
Ordering is open now (and will remain open for late orders) but orders must be placed by Fri, Feb 1 in order to receive the first Pizza lunch on Wednesday, Feb 6.
New orders, cancellations, and changes must be made 6 days in advance of the lunch (we order in advance from the suppliers).
Includes Feb - mid - June lunches.
Yes, it. Is a long lunch period but changes/cancellations can be made if needed by contacting the lunch administrator.
The ordering system allows complete flexibility (order everything, nothing, or any amount in between).
If you want to alternate between sushi and pizza (sushi one week, pizza the next), order from Sushi Menu 1 and Pizza Menu 2 (or vice versa). If you want both lunches weekly, be sure to order from both Menu 1 AND Menu 2 for both sushi and pizza. More details at the bottom of this email.
You can remove dates at the end of ordering if you need to.
Grade 7 parents should read the field trip notes that show up and remove the Quebec trip and hosting dates.
Pizzas will continue to be provided by Panago and the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie by Plaisir Sucre.
Pizza options include Pepperoni Pizza or Cheese Pizza.
Sushi will continue to be provided by QQ Sushi (located at Broadway and Fir).
Sushi options include California roll, Cucumber roll, Avocado Roll, Salmon roll, Tuna roll, Edamame and Chicken Teriyaki.
You can log in to Munchalunch anytime to check your orders. Use the “My Account - View My Orders” tab.
Your questions will be answered … email HotLunches@lordtennyson.ca
Proceeds from lunches go towards sending next year’s Gr 7 students to Quebec, the Quebec Futures Fund, and PAC.
Thank you so much for the support!
A bit more info in case you are new to ordering:
Menu 1 & Menu 2: What does it mean?
Sushi and Pizza are set up as Menu 1 & Menu 2. They cover alternating weeks (to save time when ordering but still allow flexibility - for example, it is easy to alternate between cheese and pepperoni pizza or only order a cookie every second week).
Order from BOTH Menus (1 & 2) if you want lunches every week! If you only order from Pizza Menu 1, your child will get pizza every second week.
If you would like to alternate between pizza and sushi (Sushi Monday one week and Pizza Wednesday the next week), use opposite menus for them … for example, order from Sushi Menu 1 and Pizza Menu 2. Sushi Menu 1 and Pizza Menu 1 always fall in the same week (I want lunches only once or twice a month? Planning a family vacation? You can easily remove any days at the END of ordering (keep going until the end!).
Kitsilano Gymnastics will be running Spring break camps during both weeks of the March break. Apart from tons of fun gymnastics, kids will do crafts, play team sports, watch a movie on the big screen, go to the Aquarium and Vancouver Aquatic Centre. The cost of the camp is $210 per child, and the hours are 9-2:30 pm.
There are still spaces available the second week. Email Serghei to sign your child up for the whole week or drop in on a day or two at $45 per day.
The Vancouver Secondary Schools Athletic Association (VSSAA) is once again providing programming activities for students on the January 25 & 28 Pro-D Days. Today Tennyson's Gr 6/7 Math Club was visited by Jeff Anderson from The Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing at the University of Waterloo.
The students worked on some Gauss contest math questions and learned about exciting career options that use Mathematics, Computing, and Problem Solving.
Jeff recommended exercising your brain using the puzzles available for free at krazydad.com
There are also many great resources (and access to Waterloo Math contest questions) available at www.cemc.uwaterloo.ca/contests/past_contests.html and www.cemc.uwaterloo.ca/contests/preparation.html
Thank you for the great workshop, Jeff.
Congratulations to Rachel and Ryan who won U of Waterloo lanyards.
