Today Tennyson's Gr 6/7 Math Club was visited by Jeff Anderson from The Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing at the University of Waterloo.
The students worked on some Gauss contest math questions and learned about exciting career options that use Mathematics, Computing, and Problem Solving.
Jeff recommended exercising your brain using the puzzles available for free at krazydad.com
There are also many great resources (and access to Waterloo Math contest questions) available at www.cemc.uwaterloo.ca/contests/past_contests.html and www.cemc.uwaterloo.ca/contests/preparation.html
Thank you for the great workshop, Jeff.
Congratulations to Rachel and Ryan who won U of Waterloo lanyards.
