Thank you to parents and students who have purchased books this week and a huge THANK YOU to Nana Yenson and her support team for organizing the book fair.
This is a reminder that the book fair ends this Friday at 3:30. Our Wish List program is in full swing with many teacher Wish Lists up on the board. If you are interested in purchasing a book for your child's class, please see one of the volunteers at the book fair. The teacher librarian, Mme Lyse, has a Wish List too so you can buy a book for the library and benefit everyone! We get 60% of our sales back as credit and every sale counts towards this credit. Each teacher will receive about $100 in credits to use towards books or other materials from Scholastic. This is not a fundraiser but rather a way to increase the number of books at Tennyson. And here is a bit of information about student holds: We only hold books for one day and any student holds remaining on Friday will be taken out at 3:15. So, if your child put a book on hold and you would like to buy it, please come do so. We hope to see you at the book fair! Did I mention that we take credit cards and debit cards too?!? The teachers thank you so much for the support ... they loving refreshing the books in their classrooms. You are invited to the In the Know session hosted by the Institute of Families for Child and Youth Mental Health. Parents can attend this free, informal session and learn about parenting and video games.
