Arien wins BC's Ancient History Award Contest

Mme Christine's Div 1 (Grade 6/7 class) entered BC's Ancient History Award Contest back in February to coincide with their study of Ancient Civilizations. Students had 5 questions to answer regarding the city of Carthage and Roman rulers during the Second Punic War 218-201 BC. We are super pleased to report that Arien is the overall winner in BC. Woohoo!! The contest organizers were also so impressed by Div 1's participation that they sent along prizes for 12 other students in the class that also got the answers right. 

Arien received a book on Ancient Greek and Roman Coins as well as a coin dating back to the time of Hannibal Barca, 207 BC. The other twelve students received coins as well dating back to 308-324 AD. Those students are Zachary, Maddox, Kassidy, Tamara, Esha, Donya, Luke, Jeffrey, Emma, Finnegan, Kaitlyn and Finn.
