We are excited to announce the first annual Big Spring Break Book Swap, which will happen March 10-12 in the Lord Tennyson foyer.
The idea with this event is to remind the children of the importance of recycling and that their junk is somebody else's treasure. The book swap is a great opportunity for them to score some awesome reads just in time for the spring break. What a great learning opportunity for our small (ish) loved ones as it saves money, the environment and it enriches their minds. We ask you, parents, to have your children go through their dust covered bookshelves and pick out books that are no longer loved and bring them to school to donate to the swap. Both English and French books are welcome and the more books you can donate the better. The will be a box in every classroom to make it easy to drop off. During the fair, we kindly ask the children to grab one book a day to ensure that everyone who wants gets a book. This will be great. The details: When: Tuesday March 10 - Thursday March 12 Lunch time (12-1pm) and after school (3-4pm) Where: The Tennyson Foyer What we need from you 1. Please donate the books you want to share in the box in your classroom. 2. If you have time please help us organize the books (Friday March 6). Set-up the tables (Monday March 9) and help students find some great books at the swap (Tuesday-Thursday, lunchtime and after school). Please sign up here if you’re able to help. Parents are welcome to browse books with their children and support the Big Spring Break Book Swap. Thank you for your support Sara Sundstrom and Jaqueline Crummey Comments are closed.
