Cross Country Tigers Star at First Mini-Meet

The cross country season kicked off Thursday afternoon with a mini-meet at Camosun Park.

All the Tigers were awesome and looked great in their new team uniform (thanks Chris).

A big congratulations to Lily Smetzer who placed 3rd for the Grade 3 girls. Other top finishers were Sophia Samilski, Dominik Barna, Julia Ionica and Lila Crawford. (If we missed anyone, please let us know at [email protected]!)

The next mini-meet will be held on Wednesday, October 10 at Jericho West Park.

Way to go Tennyson. You did a great job at the meet. Everyone could see you in your beautiful orange shirts and they could hear you as you cheered on your fellow runners.

Great team spirit. Thanks also to all the parent volunteers who made this event possible. It could help without your energy and dedication to the X-country. As a parent I would like to say thank you for inspiring my child to run, enjoy it and build school spirit.

Congrats to Lily who I hear placed third out of about 80 Gr 3 girls from across the district. Wow!
