The Diversity and Inclusion Committee and Kidsbooks has put together a list of books featuring diverse characters. We want to make sure that the diversity in the world around us is reflected in the books available to our kids. Research shows the importance of kids seeing both themselves and others represented in books and media. We are inviting our school community to purchase a book from the lists below to donate to the school library. As always, there is no obligation to participate and we appreciate the school community’s support in making these books available to all students.
HOW TO HELP: STEP 1: Shop the Kidsbooks list online or purchase a book in store. We have included French titles for all ages, as well as English titles at the intermediate level. If you already have a book at home you’d like to contribute instead, we welcome that too!
