The Vancouver Cantata Singers welcome you to REFUGE – our first concert of the 2023/24 season. This season is entitled OASIS: Solace in Song. Date and time Sat, Nov 4, 2023, 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM PDT Location Pacific Spirit United Church 2195 W 45th Ave Vancouver, BC V6M 2J4 Taking place a week before Remembrance Day, REFUGE remembers those who fought for peace and explores themes of comfort and shelter from distress. Highlights of the program include William Byrd’s Infelix ego, marking the 400th year anniversary of his death, and Reena Esmail’s When the violin. We are honoured to be joined by Russell Wallace in performing his arrangement of Prayer and the premiere of an arrangement of Forgotten Warriors – a new commission by VCS. Click here for tickets!
