Vancouver DPAC is proud to present the second city-wide of the 2016/2017 school year. This time we bring to you a workshop, Building Resilience, and a play, Saving Mother.
Please note that this performance is not appropriate for children. Thursday, February 9, 2017 7:00pm to 9:00pm Sir Charles Tupper Secondary 419 East 24th Avenue Vancouver, BC, V5V 2A2 Canada The workshop, Building Resilience, will be facilitated by Crystal Smith and Jolene Andrew, around the values of Indigenous knowledges, explaining why self-determination can transform abilities as well framing collective knowledges. Saving Mother is an interdisciplinary work of physical theatre which explores the intersection between violence to the land and to Indigenous women. Saving Mother was developed through The Only Animal's, 2016 Generation Hot. The piece was first mounted in the 2016 Vancouver Fringe Festival.
