Fire & Flower empowers self-identified girls and non-binary youth in their incredible transition or rite of passage into adolescence. Through mentorship, nature connection, and community-building, we create a space of radical acceptance for youth to know, feel, see and express how amazing they are, just as they are. Participants build confidence and pride in being themselves and moving on to their next significant stage in life. This is a LGBTQ2SIAP+ inclusive space, and a space where we honour each other’s ancestry.
Throughout the week, we explore relevant topics about the female body and growing up, and integrate the learning with nature time, crafts, and fun games. A parent/caregiver is invited to join us on Friday afternoon for facilitated quality time with their child. Groups are small with only 6-12 participants to maximize connection & intimacy. It’s like a 5-day sleepover without actually sleeping over! After this camp I feel really safe and I love my body.” - participant “We shared our troubles and realized a lot of them were the same. It made me feel really safe to be surrounded by others who felt the same as I did. I loved it so much I could write a novel about how amazing it was!” - participant “My daughter has grown into her power with the help of these camps. She has carried her confidence into every aspect of her life in school, friendships and activities. It has been beautiful to watch it happen.” - parent “This was spectacular for my neurodivergent daughter who was excited for camp each day and came home wanting to share what she had learned. She made wonderful connections, had a ton of fun, and learned about such important topics.” - parent Comments are closed.
