For those of you who might not remember or who are new to the school, Tennyson Circles is an activity in which children from all grades Kindergarten to Grade 7, are in a multi-aged grouping, with a different teacher. The purpose of this activity is to foster a sense of community by having children spend time with children, other than their classmates, and a staff member they may not otherwise have the opportunity to work with. In this way, new acquaintances are formed, with the younger students perhaps having someone older to help them outside on the playground and the older students having a new little buddy to help and look out for. Staff will also get to know other students, thereby fostering a sense of one large community. A big thank you to Mme Christine for organizing this important event. Comments are closed.
