Our math  curriculum is focused on the big ideas, on mental math and on number sense.  
It  encourages learners to think deeply about the math and make connections between ideas.
How can we as parents support our children in becoming mathematical thinkers?

Carole Fullerton  is an Educational Consultant and a teacher leader working in Kindergarten to Grade 12 classrooms to support the development of numeracy instruction across BC, Alberta, Yukon, Nunavut and the Northwest Territories. She is passionate about mathematics instruction. 

Carole has authored and co-authored several teacher resource books on mathematics instruction, focused on mathematical thinking, on mastery of the facts, and on the operations.
