This past Tuesday, Canada's Minister of Justice, Attorney General, and MP for Vancouver Granville, Jody Wilson-Raybould, took time out of her busy schedule to talk about her job. After giving a short speech about her background and responsibilities, the grade 4-7 students had the opportunity to ask questions. Some of the questions included how and how often she traveled to and from Ottawa (Air Canada, a lot), her thoughts about pipelines (lots of consultation with First Nations and other citizens), and how many hours a day she worked (18-20!). While her time at Tennyson was short, it was inspiring. She encouraged students to get involved with their communities to make Canada a better place for everyone.
