Memorable Cross-Country running season at Tennyson!

The students of all ages had an excellent opportunity to train and to prepare for cross-country running meets this year.  Under the experienced leadership of our long-time coach, Chris Fuoco, the students practiced diligently three times a week and honed their running technique.  This was Chris' 11th and final coaching cross-country season at Tennyson! The students then participated in three mini-meets which culminated in the Final District Meet at Trout Lake.  Our runners demonstrated awesome sportsmanship, enthusiasm and Tennyson Spirit!  This all would not be possible without our sponsor teachers and parents who worked hard to organize everyone for the meets: Mme Renée, Mme Taillefer, M. Thomas, Jaqueline Crummey and Radha Reddy. Bravo, Tennyson tigres!

We would like to recognize the Tennyson Tiger's efforts and accomplishments with a celebration  on Monday, October 22 at 10:30 am at recess in the library.  Pizza will be served for all students as well as cake to celebrate the 11 seasons of coaching that Chris has done with the team.  All cross-country participants and staff/parents involved are welcome to this event, please mark it in your calendar!

Gr 4 girls: Eliza - 6th
Gr 5 boys: Alex - 5th
Gr 6 girls: Delphine - 7th, Bridget - 16th and Allison - 18th
Gr 7 boys: Kai - 1st
Grade 7 girls: Aliya 7th
