It was the first school dance at Tennyson in a long time and, based on the cheers, screams of excitement, and the strong finish with almost everyone on the dance floor at 9pm dancing to the last song (Mr. Saxobeat), it was a fun night out for the kids.
Madison K had this to say about the event : "I think the school dance on Friday was pretty good. My friends and I had a really good time just dancing with each other. I think it's cool that we got a DJ and how we had lights everywhere! I think it would be even better if more people came and if the song requests got in but over all I thought that it was a pretty good 1st dance." One grade 5 girl declared the dance "the best night of her life". The kids danced the night away to a number of songs like Titanium, Counting Stars, Party Rock and more. Thank you to all our volunteers (as always) who made this FUN raiser a great evening for the kids at Tennyson and to Jackson (our DJ) and Mme Lavoie for making the whole thing a possibility.
