Kids were organized into four teams: Blue, Red, Yellow, and Green. The day kicked off with team cheers performed by Grade 4-7s, proceeded to a variety of fun sporting events, and culminated in the flagship event, the tug-o-war.
Blue took first place on the day, Red was second, Yellow was third, and Green came a respectable fourth. Enjoy the pictures below.
Thank you to all the families who came out and support Quebec 2015's first fundraiser. The Sports Day concession and the Dominos Pizza Lunch was a big hit. Thank you to all the parents who ordered lunches for their children ahead of time and for the families who purchased food on the day. We could not have done this event without all of our wonderful volunteers. I am going to try and remember all of their names and hope I don't forget anyone. Thank you to Barbara Peters for helping get the pre-orders organised and doing the book sale. Thank you to Veroncia Ross for doing all the shopping and driving around. Thank you to Tracey Lawerence and Anne Stirrat for counting all the money at the end of the day. A big thank you to all the people who helped with the lunches and the concession: Louise Geba, LoAnn Schmidt, Vivian and BD, Amy Rudzinski, Sarah Yoshida, Sally Otto, Chris Keatley, Craig Hewson, Christine Lee, Vesna Tovkic, Kazuko Lawerence, Steve Mulligan, Fiona Davis Brown, Judy Yee, Shana Daisy, and anyone else I may have forgotten. This was a great start to our Quebec fundraising with almost $1500 raised from just today. Way to go Quebec 2015. |
