In the Junior Acievment entrepreneurship club, students who are interested in business take an innovative idea and making it happen. If nominated by their teacher then they get to take their entrepreneurship skills and knowledge to the next level by participating in an entrepreneurship workshop and then pitching their business idea to a panel of judges made up of BC’s top business executives.
Zachary and his colleagues, created a company named Palisade and came up with an deceptively simple product: a small and versatile attachment to a backpack or bag that can firmly hold an umbrella, giving users the freedom, mobility, and comfort to do other things as they move throughout their day. Not only is this a fantastic idea, their presentation won them the student investor pitch competition and a $2500 prize. What an amazing achievement.
