We've enjoyed a tremendous cross-country season this year filled with sunny meets (except the last), lots of place ribbons, and an amazing display of sportsmanship, enthusiasm and Tennyson Tiger Spirit!
The students trained hard three times a week to build stamina and hone technique and their efforts paid off. The Tennyson Tigers won lots of ribbons at the three mini-meets and at the Final District Meet at Trout Lake. The cross-country team would not be possible without our coaches, Ryan and Andy, our sponsor teachers Mme McNicol, Mme Renee, Mme Taillefer, Mme Sarah and M Rafael and all the parents who helped at training and the meets, brought the Friday snacks, and cheered on our athletes as they raced. A big thank you to you all! Here are the results I have from the District final. I definitely don't have them all so please send others and/or photos to blog@lordtennyson.ca and check back next week for the final list.
