Valentine's cards for sale (support Create Change)

2/3/2016

Please see the following message from former Lord Tennyson student, Catherine  Vracar:

I am in the High School Marketing Leadership Program through Create Change. Create Change is a Vancouver based NGO that helps impact girls and their ability to go to school. Our task this term is to sell Valentine's Day cards. See photo below.  We are selling them now and up until February 14th, you  can buy a pack of 6 for $5, 12 for $10, or 25 for $20. 100% of the profits donated is going towards girl's education in Ghana. It's only $300/year ($25/month) per student and it covers her schools fees, supplies, food,  accommodation, and career/emotional guidance.

The team will be selling cards in the Tennyson lobby this Friday, Feb 5 and Wednesday, Feb 10 after school (starting at 2:45).    Please come check them out and support this great  initiative!

People can choose to either buy our Valentine's Day cards or make a donation. 100% of the donation goes to supporting girls living in poverty. Create Change believes that empowering girls is the most powerful tool to affect change in communities that are currently  living  in poverty. These girls are currently living in such dire circumstances and are very subjected to  vulnerability. When girls have access to quality education, everything  begins to change.
