Tennyson's enrichment opportunities and programs run on people power! Can we count you in?
Elected Roles PAC Chair (Co-Chair) and Vice Chair (Co-Vice Chair) 4 people? Well, it makes it easier to spread the work around, but it can be done in any combination of ways, so grab a friend or meet a new one and share the job! These roles have a heavier time commitment, but are also heavy on job satisfaction. Our current chair is coming to the end of their term limit, so this seat is wide open. Treasurer and Co-Treasurer Ok, this is one job that requires some accounting or bookkeeping experience. True story. Luckily, you'll never be on your own as we always need two for oversight. Our current treasury duo has one year left in their term and September would be the perfect time for a new person to start shadowing and learn the ropes. Secretary and Co-Secretary We have a very fantastical minute taker at the moment, but we've told her under no circumstances is she ever allowed to be ill or busy on PAC meeting nights. Ack! What would we do? Having a Co-Secretary sure would help. Could this be you? Minimum time commitment is 8 PAC meetings a year, half that if there are 2. DPAC Representative Advocacy and big picture thinking at the district level. This role is for someone who wants to work for the betterment of students and families beyond the Tennyson school yard. HERE you can find a more detailed (and official) descriptions of each role - page 6 of our by-laws. Unelected roles Billboard Sign You know the one at the corner of 10th and Maple? That's the one! Time commitment is once a week, or once every 2 weeks, during school hours (as the letters are stored inside). We've haven't timed how long it takes to put the letters up and pull down, but maybe depends how picky you are. Munchalunch Mastermind Set up and manage the back end of hot lunch ordering, noon hour programs and any other PAC programs.
