Get back to school supplies and support businesses that have supported Tennyson in 2019
The first day of school is just around the corner. How can that be! If you're still buying supplies, you might find exactly what you need at one of these businesses that have supported Tennyson's fundraising efforts over the last year.
Whole Foods sells great lunch and snack products that are durable, reusable and look really cool. Whole Foods Kitsilano (on 4th) made Tennyson one of their bag donation charities in the spring and raised an amazing $2.043 for Tennyson PAC last year!
Spud also has a great range of litterless lunch products including, Eco lunchboxes, Luumi lunchbags (which look so cool!) and GoGo snack bags. Also, if you're interested in getting produce, Spud will donate 25% of the value of the fundraising produce box you buy to Tennyson. Details are over on the fundraising page.
Perwinkle Designs, make beeswax food wraps which are perfect for for wrapping sandwiches, cheese, veggies, fruits and snacks for a litterless lunch. This small business was started by a Grade 4 Tennyson student, Madison Seriosa, and is going from strength to strength. You can buy the wraps online, at Safeway at West King Edward and Oak, at local community fairs or from her mum Lisa in the playground.
London Drugs at Broadway and Vine is a one-stop-shop for back to school staples. You can get everything from lunchboxes to permanent markers so you can label all your new kit to help keep it out of the lost and found.
And, speaking of keeping your stuff out of the lost and found, you might what to invest in some Mable's Labels to stick on bags, coats, sweaters, lunch kits and water bottles. Before you start your shopping on their website put Lord Tennyson Elementary in the search box so that 20% of the proceeds go to the Tennyson PAC.
