Tennyson donates fruit and veg
For the past few years, the BC School Fruit & Vegetable Nutritional Program has brought a variety of fruits and vegetables into schools to distribute to students. You may have noticed the "big day" each month noted on the school calendar, or recalled the consent form you signed all the way back in September. Or maybe you didn't clock it at all. Either way, it's a great program designed to put a little extra nutrition into out kiddos and is run by a few terrific parents. Due to the current health emergency, the produce had no where to go. BUT, Shana, mother of 2 Tenny Tigers, was able to facilitate a donation this week of Tennyson mini cukes to Outreach Care Society, and we just wanted to shout about it!! Thank you Shana!
Shana, with the generosity of her bootcamp participants - including many Tennyson families, has also helped raised over $7,000 for Backpack Buddies. Bootcamps by donation run Wednesday and Sunday mornings.
